 this year's 2017 Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, a 75-foot Norway Spruce from Jason Perrin in State College,
 Pennsylvania,
The show is broadcasted to millions of viewers watching from home.


Since the Great Depression, the Rockefeller Center Tree has been the symbol of Christmas in New York City the first official tree lighting was in 1933 .





 And  hundreds of thousands of visitors passing by each day while the tree is on display.
Between West 48th and 51st streets and Fifth and Sixth avenues.Is the ceremony free and open to the public.
And there will be a large crowd, as tens of thousands of New Yorkers and visitors from around the world come to view the lighting each year.
More than 50,000 lights will brighten up the tree this year with a sparkling .
At the top stunning Swarovski star is comprised of 25,000 crystals with one million facets .
 This is 85th Christmas tree and will be on display until January 7, 2018.
